Surveys and Opportunities

I haven't received an email invitation in a while. What's up?

Most likely, there hasn't been a survey that would be appropriate or interesting to you based on the profile you provided when you registered. Or, if you've changed your email address since you joined the Parrot Panel, it is possible that the contact information we have for you is outdated. If you suspect that this is the case, you can easily update your contact information on this site. Go to the Manage your Membership to update your information. Also, ensure that any available profiling surveys are accurate and completed to enhance your chances of receiving appropriate survey invitations.

After I receive an email invitation to take a survey, how long do I have to complete it?

Surveys are usually available on the web for three to seven days. How long the survey is 'active' depends on how many panelists we need input from, panelist eligibility, and how quickly panelists respond.

How long are Parrot Panel surveys?

Every survey is different - some are very short and take only 5 minutes, while others are longer and take 20 to 25 minutes. Socratic Technologies will typically disclose the approximate survey length in your email invitation so that you can choose when, and if, to participate. Socratic Technologies realizes that your time is valuable, so longer surveys offer bigger prizes or more chances to win.

If I receive an email invitation, does that mean I'm automatically eligible for the survey?

No. Based on the information you provide when you register, we'll invite you to surveys for which you are likely to be eligible for. Sometimes, however, there are additional 'screening' questions to ensure the Panelists we interview are the correct match (e.g., people who have purchased a computer within the last 6 months).

I tried to take a survey, but was told that I wasn't eligible. What does that mean?

Socratic Technologies does its best to invite you to surveys you'll be qualified for based on the information you provided when you registered. However, sometimes there are additional 'Screening Questions' to confirm that only the correct cross-section of people are interviewed.

Referral Program

What is the Parrot Panel Referral Program?

The Parrot Panel Referral Program is a way for existing Parrot Panel Members to invite others to join Parrot Panel to participate in surveys. The program awards points to member accounts for each new qualified Member they refer to Parrot Panel. The points accrued from the referral program will be eligible for gift card redemption.

How does the referral program work?

Each Parrot Panel member is provided a unique referral link they can share with people. The link will take the person to the Parrot Panel sign-up page, where they will sign up to be a member of Parrot Panel. Once they submit their information and are accepted by Parrot Panel, the current Member will be awarded points for the referral. The Parrot Panel Referral Program allows members to refer as many people as they wish with no limit. The Member will be rewarded points only for those referred people whom Parrot Panel accepts.

Who can participate in the referral program?

Any active Parrot Panel Member can participate in the Referral Program. They must use the unique link for the referral program to receive the referral program points to their account.

What rewards are available for a referral?

Each accepted referral will give 100 points to the Parrot Panel Member. Occasionally, There will be special campaigns and programs that will grant bonus points for each referral. Bonus points and special event promotions will be communicated to the members via emails and on their account dashboard.

What does a qualified referral mean?

Our clients need people to provide opinions via surveys on different topics. The people participating can only participate in each survey one time. Because of fraudulent email accounts and people who may register additional email accounts to attempt to “game” or profit from doing a survey multiple times, Parrot Panel uses a system that uses multiple criteria to review and approve membership. While the majority of people are approved and participate, Parrot Panel does decline people from joining. Parrot Panel reserves the right to decline participation and membership to Parrot Panel.

When will I see the referral reward in my account?

Our referral program will update accounts at the start of each month to add the referral points to each Member’s point totals. The points will be a line item on their point totals as “Referral Points” and one line item per referral. The referral points will be awarded once the referral becomes qualified by taking part in a survey.

How long does it take for the referral to be qualified?

Parrot Panel’s qualification process is that once the referral participates in a survey, they are viewed as qualified. The referral may participate in any of the following surveys to be qualified. The “get to know you” surveys, a Flash Poll, or one of our available client surveys. The initial sign-up will get them access to Parrot Panel, and they can view the available surveys. Still, our fraud risk measures and manual reviews of the referral account may remove them from Parrot Panel after the initial sign-up.

How many referrals can I send to Parrot Panel?

There is no limit to the number of referrals that can be sent to Parrot Panel. Only the qualified and accepted referrals will be awarded points as part of the Parrot Panel Referral Program.

Why would a referral be denied to be part of Parrot Panel?

There can be many reasons for a referral to be denied. A few common reasons that can occur are listed below:

  • Email and IP are overseas, which is currently not an audience Parrot Panel manages.
  • The email is associated with an existing account or person or IP address.
  • The account was already established or was a previous member and was removed from Parrot Panel Participation.
  • The email was previously denied due to online activity or BOTs being identified as part of the account.
  • The information provided is not recognized as being legitimate based on the fraud detection program used by Parrot Panel.

How can I check on how many referrals have been accepted?

Parrot Panel will award referral points at the start of each month and be seen in your point total. Each referral will be seen as a points earned. Once the referral completes a survey, they will be considered qualified, and the Member will earn the referral points.

What can I do if one of my referrals was accepted but didn’t use my referral code?

You will need to send us the referral’s complete information to our member services email so it can be investigated. You will need to provide the date when they were accepted as a member of Parrot Panel. We will investigate, and if we can verify that the person did join, we will award the referral points. We will review each request on a case-by-case basis. We will only investigate when a person became a member, and the award points were not provided. We will not investigate the activity or qualification status of the referrals that a member did.

What else do I need to know?

The purpose of the referral program is to reward our members for inviting friends and associates to participate in Parrot Panel surveys. Attempting to exploit or game the referral program can lead to a member being removed from the Referral Program and Parrot Panel. Any mass promotion or public distribution of a referral code via social media platforms, profiles, or mass email campaigns would be grounds for removal from the program. Also, if the referrals received from a referral link are deemed auto-generated or SPAM, we will remove the account immediately, and all points accrued are forfeited.

Help! Technical Difficulties

I was taking a survey but was interrupted before I finished the survey. Can I continue?

Depending on your browser capabilities, you should easily be able to resume the survey where you left off (assuming the survey is still 'active'). If your browser does not support this functionality, you may have to start the survey from the beginning. To resume the survey, either click on or copy and paste the original URL you used to start the survey into your browser. Be sure to use the same email address to enter the survey that you previously used.

I tried to take a survey and got a 'file not found' error message.

Check to make sure the URL you are using is correct. Depending on your browser capabilities, you should be able to click on the survey URL in your email invitation to begin. You can also copy and paste the URL into your browser. If you choose to type the URL, be sure to type it exactly as it appears in your email invitation (please note that all survey URLs are case sensitive). Additionally, confirm that you are using the same email address where you received your survey invitation to access the survey. Unless specified otherwise, all of our surveys are programmed to work only with the email address to where we sent the survey invitation.
